Thanks to the Generosity of Whitehorse Motors The Whitehorse Food Bank Has a new Transit van to use for the important work we do. Their generosity even extended to include a three year maintenance package, providing the Food Bank with worry free transportation. And another big surprise was a supply of turkeys and $600.00 from their December Promotion. Thanks Whitehorse Motors for helping us help the community!
The Whitehorse Fire Fighters Association not only stands on guard for the citizens of Whitehorse but they have extended their helping hands to the Whitehorse Food Bank this year. At their annual Christmas party they collected $2525.00 in cash as a donation. Thanks Whitehorse Fire Fighters Association for all the good work you do.
On Friday staff from YTG Environment came to the Food Bank and volunteered on some projects to help the Whitehorse Food Bank. The projects included building a trolley, changing a toilet and sorting food. What sort of fun could a group from your workplace have? Lots! Just look at the smiles of just some of the 15 people that helped us that day.
Big thanks to Golden Horn Elementary School. As a Christmas food drive they brought us over a thousand pounds of food. They also raised almost $500.00 cash selling their artwork as Holiday cards. Also a big shout out to PR Services for printing their cards so they could sell them to benefit the Whitehorse Food Bank.
